Department 54A2 “Company Pension” is the strategic partner for occupational pensions and lifetime working accounts within DHL Group. It defines the principles of occupational pension schemes (bAV) in the German group companies and oversees compliance with global guidelines. In addition, the department manages cross‑functional offerings and initiatives that support work‑life balance.

Key Responsibilities:
Compensation & Benefits Senior Specialist (m/f/d)
Ensuring global HR governance for pension plans by developing global standards, processes and monitoring structures for DHL Group
* Developing global standards for pension plans based on the Group Pension Management Policy
o Analysis and assessment of existing local pension systems in DHL country organizations
o Conducting market benchmarks and evaluating internal and external best practices
o Defining global minimum requirements for pension plans
o Establishing global review and approval processes for changes to local pension plans
o Close collaboration with Finance regarding accounting risks, classification topics and market‑appropriate design of international pension plans
o Management of external consulting firms
* Strategic consulting for local HR units (especially Compensation & Benefits) on the design, further development and implementation of local pension plans
* Preparing and presenting complex pension‑related matters on international pension plans to HR leaders and decision‑makers, e.g., when adjustments to existing plans are required
* Designing global HR monitoring structures for pension KPIs, risks, policy compliance and relevant processes
o Developing structures for conducting risk analyses and deriving appropriate measures
o Planning and evaluating the impact of pension‑related projects
* Responsibility for projects in the area of occupational pensions in Germany
o Analyzing and optimizing HR processes related to the implementation, communication, administration, digitalization and risk management of pension plans
o Assessing legislative changes and implementing resulting adjustments in HR processes and policies, as well as administrative requirements
o Negotiating changes with social partners
* Functional leadership of international and German project teams
Professional Requirements:
* University degree in economics or a comparable qualification
* Many years of professional experience in occupational pensions, with specific expertise in governance of international pension plans
* In‑depth knowledge of HR compliance, risk management and policy design
* Experience working with global HR organizations and managing international stakeholders
* Understanding of relevant regulations for (international) pension systems (e.g., pension legislation, accounting standards for pension plans)
* Confident handling of reporting structures and assessment of HR‑relevant pension KPIs
* Knowledge of project and process management as well as experience in process improvement
* Excellent German and English language skills
Personal Requirements:
* Ability to structure complex HR topics and communicate them convincingly
* Independent, highly analytical working style in global and highly complex environments
* Strong sense of responsibility and high competence in stakeholder management (e.g., during negotiations with social partners)
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Team player with experience in virtual, global and cross‑functional work environments
