Senior unreal tools developer

Are you an experienced Tools Engineer with a strong background in Unreal Engine, looking to design and develop powerful toolkits that streamline XR development workflows?

This opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in shaping how immersive applications are created by building scalable systems and automation tools that improve efficiency, consistency, and quality across the development lifecycle.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining Unreal Engine tools, UI systems, and automation pipelines to support XR content creation
• Collaborating with engineers, technical artists, and content creators to translate workflow needs into technical solutions
• Implementing robust data management, asset pipeline, and version control systems that ensure stability and efficiency
• Optimising build processes, testing frameworks, and deployment workflows
• Prototyping and integrating new tools that enhance productivity across cross-functional teams
• Monitoring tool performance and ensuring long-term reliability and maintainability
• Creating clear technical documentation, onboarding guides, and training resources for internal teams
• Staying up to date with Unreal Engine updates and industry best practices to maintain a cutting-edge toolchain

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Tools Engineer, Pipeline Engineer, or similar role in an Unreal Engine environment
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python with expertise in editor tools, UI development, and automation
• Solid understanding of asset management pipelines, version control systems such as Perforce or Git, and real-time rendering workflows
• Experience working with XR, simulation, or real-time production pipelines
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, gathering requirements and delivering scalable solutions
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability

Salary range

• €70,000 - €90,000 (EUR) per annum
