🔬 Senior Software Engineer – C# / C++ (Scientific & Engineering Systems) 📄 Contract to January 2027 | Strong extension potential This is a specialist contract role within an established R&D engineering team at a world-leading technology company in the Stuttgart area. The team develops sophisticated software for high-precision engineering and data analysis systems, tools used by engineers globally to develop and validate advanced technologies. This is not a web, cloud, or enterprise software role. It is hands‑on, technically deep engineering work at the boundary of software and real‑world systems. 💡 What You Will Be Doing Developing and maintaining complex desktop applications in C# and C++ Building and optimising software that interfaces with specialised equipment and hardware systems Working on data acquisition, processing, and analysis pipelines Applying multithreading and performance tuning to handle high‑throughput data Contributing to a mature R&D codebase with modern engineering practices (Git, CI/CD, Jira, Confluence) Collaborating closely with engineers and technical domain specialists ✅ What We Are Looking For 7+ years of commercial software development experience Strong hands‑on experience with both C# and C++ (both are required) Solid grounding in OOP and software design principles Experience building software that interacts with hardware, instruments, or physical systems Comfortable working in an R&D or engineering‑driven environment Experience with multithreading and performance optimisation Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus 🌟 Particularly Relevant Backgrounds Candidates with experience in any of the following environments will be of strong interest: Test and measurement software (e.g. signal generators, analysers, data acquisition systems) Telecommunications or high‑speed systems software Scientific instrumentation or laboratory automation Semiconductor or advanced engineering R&D environments Background in engineering, physics, or signal‑related domains If this aligns with your experience and interests, we’d be keen to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
