We have a fantastic opportunity to join BlackBerry’s global People team in Dusseldorf on a fixed term contract basis (12-14 months, maternity cover).
Your tasks
Position Summary
As part of BlackBerry’s global People Team, you’ll be more than just an HR professional — you’ll be a trusted advisor and strategic partner for employees and managers across Germany and the wider EMEA region. This hybrid role blends the expertise of an HR Business Partner with the hands-on precision of an HR Operations Specialist, giving you the opportunity to shape both global People programs and local initiatives that truly enhance the employee experience. You’ll play a pivotal role in the employee lifecycle, ensuring our People strategies align with business goals while fostering a culture where employees thrive.

You will:
* Champion People programs: talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation, and rewards.
* Partner with employees and leaders to guide policies, employee relations, and compliance.
* Bring local expertise: ensure programs align with German labour law and EMEA practices.
* Use data and analytics to drive workforce planning and uncover actionable insights.
* Manage employee lifecycle events, documentation, and HRIS transactions (Workday).
* Lead change: support communication and transformation initiatives across regions.
Your profile
You will have:
* Proven HR experience across Operations and Business Partner/Generalist roles.
* A degree or diploma in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
* HRIS experience (Workday is a plus).
* Strong knowledge of German labour law and EMEA employment practices.
* Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
* Languages: German & English (French would be an asset but not essential)
