Process Development Scientist (Bioconjugation – ADCs)

We are currently supporting a growing bioconjugation function within a pharmaceutical development environment in the search for a Process Development Scientist. This position focuses on process development and process optimization activities for antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs), supporting programs from early development through to GMP manufacturing.
Due to increasing GMP activities and a strong project pipeline, additional permanent hires have been approved within the bioconjugation team. The initial positions are being released immediately, with onboarding planned as soon as suitable candidates are identified.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and optimize bioconjugation processes for ADCs
* Apply DoE and statistical methodologies for process characterization
* Support scale-up activities from development scale to GMP manufacturing
* Define critical process parameters (CPPs) and contribute to control strategies
* Collaborate closely with analytical, quality, and manufacturing teams
* Troubleshoot process performance during GMP campaigns
* Prepare and review technical documentation in compliance with GMP standards
* Drive continuous process improvement initiatives
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related field
* 3–5 years of industry experience in bioconjugation, process development, or process optimization
* Hands-on experience with ADC conjugation and purification techniques
* Experience with process characterization and scale-down models
* Exposure to GMP manufacturing and/or tech transfer activities
* Fluent German and English required
