At OIA Global we offer high calibre solutions involving transportation, warehousing, packaging, materials management, and supply chain optimisation programs. We are looking to grow and develop our business in Germany and are in need of a passionate sales person to support this expansion. If you are a dynamic personality with a good understanding of freight forwarding, we would love to hear from you.

This role would suit someone who already has business development experience in a consultative style sales approach in the Freight Forwarding industry and would like to expand their remit. So, if you have good organisational skills and are willing to throw yourself into a demanding but exciting job, please give us a call.

You will have overall responsibility for growing the business and extending the reach of our freight forwarding services in order to increase revenue. Your duties will include identifying new sales leads, pitching OIA’s portfolio and building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients and suppliers. You will work with Sales and Operations teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals, negotiate contract terms and communicate effective with stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

1. Meeting set targets/KPI’s; all activities to be entered into the OIA CRM application. Personal KPIs will be set on a monthly basis by HOS EMEA in accordance with GAP to target.
2. Developing & Identifying qualified leads
3. Targeting SME clients within the field sales parameters.
4. Discussing and agreeing with operations/P&L owners any possible service requirements outside the standard service portfolios before offering to customers.
5. Continuously researching existing & new accounts, identifying key players and generating interest on existing or new OIA products or industry updates.
6. Actively working with the platforms provided to support your sales.
7. Building credible relationships with customers in order to create, manage and close new business opportunities
8. Developing existing accounts as assigned by the business to increase the share of the wallet for OIA.
9. Managing personal achievement dashboard/target, understand your gap to plan to ensure pipeline of opportunities & wins in place to fill the gap.
10. Pro-actively communicating and supporting on RFQ’s with the OIA bid team/product owners, making sure our response is professional, timely and competitive.
11. Providing input and support marketing activities
12. Working with different business units to cross sell OIA service.
13. Collaborating with teams globally to develop and grow OIA business opportunities.
14. Comparing month on month development of existing customers for both the book of business and new customers against budgeted/anticipated sales and GP.
15. Support on possible A/R escalations with customers in the book of business

What we need from you:

16. Previous experience in Freight Forwarding, multi modal and/or Business Development in the Forwarding industry essential
17. Multi-modal knowledge (ocean, air & trucking)
18. Proven sales track record
19. Analytical skills.
20. Excellent communication and training skills
21. Self-motivated with good time management skills
22. High MS Office skills.
23. Service-oriented.
24. A high level of energy with a "can-do" positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
25. The ability to make recommendations/proposals, be persistent and overcome resistance to influence and close the sell.
26. Ability to work effectively, independently, cross-functionally, and in a team environment
27. Fluent in both written and spoken in both German and English
28. Eligibility to work in the country in which you will be employed is essential.
