As a (Junior) Business Intelligence Developer, you will support the development and operation of our modern data warehouse and analytics environment. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will help transform source data into well-structured data models and data marts that enable meaningful insights for the business.
You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our analytics platform — from data storage in Snowflake, through integration in the Azure cloud, to visualization in Power BI. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your BI and data engineering skills in a modern, cloud-first environment while learning best practices in data modeling, ETL processes, and analytics architecture.
Our analytics platform was built in 2023 as a greenfield, cloud-native solution. This gives you the chance to learn on a cutting-edge setup while actively contributing to the further development of HELM’s global data platform. You will collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and external partners and gradually take on more responsibility as your expertise grows.
Your tasks:
1. Support the development of business-oriented data marts optimized for Power BI reporting
2. Assist in the maintenance and optimization of the global analytics platform (Azure, Snowflake, Power BI)
3. Help monitor and improve data quality and performance
4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to implement new requirements
5. Support business units and IT colleagues in day-to-day data analytics topics
6. Contribute to projects aimed at the continuous improvement of the global data platform
7. Learn and apply best practices for data integration, ETL processes, and governance
Your profile:
8. Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, or a comparable qualification
9. First professional experience, internships or academic focus in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or Analytics
10. Basic knowledge of Cloud Services (hands-on experience is a plus)
11. Understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., Data Vault, Kimball, 3NF) and interest in data governance principles
12. Familiarity with SQL and willingness to deepen your skills
13. Any experience with Python or similar scripting languages is a plus
14. Analytical mindset, structured working approach, and eagerness to learn
15. Very good command of English, written and spoken
