Job Description: Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Hardware Design Assurance Engineer (d/f/m) We are looking for an Engineer with experience in the area of Hardware Design Assurance of aircraft equipment including Complex Electronic Hardware devices, e. g. micro coded components, such as ASICs, PLDs, and complex COTS components. He/she will work jointly with system/equipment designers in order to ensure civil/military certification of aircraft equipment including Complex Electronic Hardware devices, based on RTCA/DO 254 standard or equivalent. A close collaboration with domains in charge of Certification, Qualification, Safety, Software Assurance and Design Office will be required. He/she shall be able to master the different standards relative to Complex Electronic Hardware like RTCA/DO 254. Your tasks and responsibilities
1. Discuss with the Airworthiness / Certification Authorities the Certification Baseline and the level of involvement of the authorities.
2. Monitoring Supplier Development: Ensure that the supplier performs its activities in compliance with RTCA/DO 254, applicable CRIs or guidelines, control of processes with traceability, validation and verification, supervision of Requirements Based Engineering, Control over SEU (Single Event Upset) and Robustness of the equipment assigned, etc.
3. Preparation of Reviews with Airworthiness / Certification Authorities.
4. Define the required documentation that Airbus shall receive at each milestone of the Hardware development according to RTCA/DO 254 and AMC 20 152A .
