Position Overview
The Sales Engineer plays a key role in driving technical sales, customer engagement, and account management activities. You will leverage your industry experience in PNT, Data Link, Electronic Warfare, and RF communications to generate new business, pursue tenders, identify bids, strengthen existing client relationships, and introduce innovative products to potential clients.
Responsibilities
1. Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Germany and international markets, aligned with sales strategy. Proactively seek out customers, build relationships with decision-makers, and promote products.
2. Sales and Marketing:
Collaborate with marketing to execute sales strategies, participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events, and contribute to marketing material creation.
3. Technical Expertise:
Act as a technical consultant, confidently present product capabilities, understand customer requirements, and recommend solutions tailored to their needs.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
Cultivate strong relationships with clients, provide outstanding customer service, prepare quotes, and offer technical support. Ensure disciplined CRM use and follow-up on all leads.
5. Product Presentations and Demonstrations:
Support client presentations and product demos. Learn and deliver technical pitches effectively.
6. Market Analysis:
Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies within GNSS, RF, and Radio Navigation sectors, and share insights with the sales team.
Requirements
1. Work Authorization:
Must hold German Working Authorization.
2. Education:
Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, communication, or industrial engineering preferred. Equivalent qualifications considered.
3. Experience:
Experience in technical sales, account management, or willingness to grow into such a role, ideally in defense or aerospace sectors.
4. Technical Knowledge:
Strong technical acumen and familiarity with electronic components and systems for defense and civil applications. Ability to communicate complex concepts to varied audiences.
5. Flexibility:
Willingness to travel within Germany and abroad for client meetings and industry events.
6. Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
7. Language:
Fluent German and English required.
8. Self-Driven:
Proactive, motivated, and entrepreneurial mindset to achieve sales targets and support growth.
9. Data Minded:
Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and data analysis systems. Ability to prepare reports and quotes once trained on the product portfolio.
10. Team Player:
Strong collaboration skills, willingness to share knowledge, and work with colleagues toward common goals.
