The Role
The Project Contract Manager is part of the delivery structure for the Mini Terminal (ETS-MT) automation project and supports disciplined commercial delivery across EGA’s automation portfolio where required.
The role is responsible for the structured, day-to-day management of the contracts forming part of the ETS-MT project (€85m+ CAPEX), with a focus on contract performance, cost control, and milestone management, ensuring that suppliers meet agreed commercial, technical, and scheduling obligations.
The position combines contract administration with active support to procurement, cost management, performance reporting, and governance processes, contributing to consistent commercial delivery and controlled contractual outcomes across EGA projects.
Reports to: Project Controls Manager, ETS-MT
Key interfaces: Portfolio Contract Strategy Lead, Procurement, Legal, Technical Services, Finance/Controlling, Vendors
* Maintaining contract administration records, including deliverables, obligations, notices, risks, and governance documentation.
* Supporting procurement activities, including contract formation, commercial clarifications, and alignment with agreed procurement strategies.
* Monitoring supplier performance against contractual milestones, acceptance criteria, and agreed performance measures.
* Working with Finance / Controlling to reconcile budget, committed values, spend to date and monthly accruals.
* Verifying that invoicing aligns with contractual milestones, acceptance criteria, and approved committed values.
* Managing contract change processes, including assessment, documentation, commercial impact evaluation, and escalation in line with established procedures.
* Supporting claims avoidance through accurate records, timely issue identification, and structured performance monitoring.
* Coordinating with technical, procurement, and finance stakeholders to ensure consistent contract interpretation and controlled commercial communication.
* Preparing commercial and performance reports for project and programme governance forums, including forward-looking risk and exposure information.
* Providing contract strategy input aligned with portfolio-level approaches.
* Participating in EGA’s contract management forums, contributing to consistent standards, shared learning, and alignment across projects.
* Supporting other EGA automation projects during periods of lower delivery intensity, as required.
* Contributing to the development of business cases, contracting strategies, and procurement approaches for future automation initiatives.
Hard Skills & Experience
* Experience in contract administration and supplier management within complex engineering or infrastructure projects.
* Experience supporting procurement processes, including contract formation and commercial alignment.
* Experience tracking cost commitments, variations, and performance metrics in collaboration with finance or project control functions.
* Understanding of industrial, infrastructure, or automation project delivery environments.
* Familiarity with standard forms of contract (for example FIDIC, VOB/B, NEC) or bespoke engineering or equipment contracts.
* Ability to assess contractual issues across time, cost, and quality dimensions.
* Experience with change management and claims-related processes is advantageous.
