Strategic Procurement Manager (m/f/d) - IT Hardware & Telecommunications Location: Koblenz (hybrid model) Employment Type: fulltime, permanent A dynamic organization in the digital sector is seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to lead sourcing initiatives and support operational purchasing activities in the areas of IT hardware and telecommunication services. This role is key to driving innovation and digital transformation through strategic supplier partnerships and cross-functional collaboration. Your Responsibilities: Manage direct and indirect IT spend, focusing on hardware (e.g., servers, laptops, networking, security equipment) and telecom services. Oversee procurement processes from initial offer to delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational efficiency. Collaborate with internal departments such as IT, product management, and sales to align procurement strategies with business objectives. Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including tenders and contract negotiations with local and international suppliers. Analyze procurement metrics and present actionable insights; manage supplier relationships and negotiate high-value contracts to support long-term partnerships. Your Profile: Several years of procurement experience in IT hardware; experience in telecommunications is a plus. Strong knowledge of SAP MM (ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA), advanced Excel skills, and proficiency in Office365. Proven success in negotiating strategic contracts with major vendors (e.g., Dell, IBM, Cisco, Lenovo). Solution-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders. Degree in business administration or IT; fluent English and at least B2-level German (additional languages are a plus).
