Technical Application Specialist (Utilities)

Tasks As a Technical Application Specialist, you will support and further develop our grid management systems Lovion, Geocall and Argos, which form the basis for efficient grid management and maintenance
You will work closely with product owners, specialist departments and external providers, evaluate requirements and implement them in stable, standards-compliant solutions
You also ensure smooth operation, analyze malfunctions, carry out tests and accompany releases from acceptance to go-live
You will also actively support the replacement of existing systems, integrate new applications into our architecture and thus shape the digital future of network operations
Your work ensures that 1 million people in Hanover and the region are reliably supplied with energy
Requirements You have completed training or a degree in computer science, business informatics, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification based on professional experience
You also have several years of experience in the support, configuration or integration of specialist IT applications, ideally Lovion, Geocall or Argos
You also have a technical understanding of IT systems, data flows and interfaces and are interested in the further development of these systems
You also have knowledge of databases (SQL) and interface standards (REST, SOAP, XML)
In addition, you have experience in requirements management and in working with product owners and external partners
Your personality is characterized by initiative, a sense of responsibility and a structured and solution-oriented way of working

As a Technical Application Specialist (Utilities), you are the technical backbone of our digital network processes. You will support and develop the central Lovion, Geocall and Argos systems that digitally control our network operations - from fault processing to maintenance and asset management. Your contribution is crucial: you ensure that our grids are stable, efficient and future-proof - and actively shape the transition to the next generation of grid management systems.
In this role, you will work at the interface between technology, operations and digitalization. You will translate complex requirements into clean technical solutions and shape the further development of our digital platform architecture - from existing system operations to our Digital Grid Twin.
