About the role

We’re looking for a hardworking, driven leader with superb energy, passion and initiative to lead a highly talented Growth sales team. The team concentrates exclusively on formulating and executing a sales strategy towards growing existing customers

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Germany for our hybrid working model.

As the Regional Director there is a focus on recruitment, enablement and execution for the German territory. You will drive revenue and assure the continued success of the DACH region. What you will be doing

1. Have an in-depth and detailed understanding of MongoDB products to confidently provide mentorship for your Sales team
2. Enable, develop and empower your team to proactively prospect, identify, qualify, and build sales pipeline
3. Coach the team to grow existing business and to navigate complex negotiations and organisations
4. Evangelize our validated sales methodology MEDDIC and drive adoption and expertise within your team
5. Actively recruit Account Executives for your team, according to MongoDB’s hiring criteria
6. Onboard and ramp new Account Executives and accelerate their productive capacity
7. Foster strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities
8. Run weekly forecast meetings
9. Scale, strategically plan, and develop sales territories

What you will bring to the table

10. 2+ years experience with recruiting and managing a highly successful and talented direct software sales team while driving them towards success
11. 5+ years field experience of quota-carrying experience in a fast-paced and competitive market with a focus on closing net new logos
12. Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and run a complex sales process
13. A proven track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets
14. Ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology
15. Skilled in building business champions
16. Driven and competitive. Possess a strong desire to be successful

18. Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)
19. Familiarity with databases, develops and open source technology a plus
