Area Manager Facilities and Material Handling Maintenance (m/f/d)
You will be responsible for maintaining technical building equipment and the material handling equipment in our Wiesbaden European Road Network HUB managing a local Team of Technicians and a maintenance planner.
Your objectives:
1. You will lead and develop a team of technicians to ensure facility and material handling maintenance.
2. You support operational continuity by providing effective services or solutions for maintenance and repair for operational facilities and equipment.
3. You will ensure service providers comply with contractual agreements.
4. You lead defined local initiatives to improve maintenance solution concepts (synergies, methods, planning, etc.).
5. You advise and support all management levels as well as less experienced colleagues.
6. You will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and control of annual building services maintenance.
7. You coordinate the processing and follow-up of fault & downtime reports.
8. You are responsible for the development of maintenance concepts and their execution at the sites.
9. You will be responsible for processing and presenting maintenance key figures, costs and their sustainability on a monthly basis.
10. You assist your main customer, the regional and local Operations Department, by elaborating and implementing technical solutions.
Your profile:
11. Ideally a successfully completed degree in the field of facility management, mechanical or electrical engineering or alternatively with a business or technical specialization
12. Ideally several years of experience in leading technical teams
13. Pronounced technical and maintenance expertise
14. Profound knowledge of German and English language
15. Basic knowledge of heating, ventilation, plumbing and electrical engineering
16. Very good communication skills
17. Excellent planning and organizational skills
18. Experience in evaluating performance requirements and setting priorities
19. Well-developed understanding of contractual processes
20. Experience in defining and specifying performance expectations to manage supplier performance
21. Good knowledge of the operation of mechanical and electrical systems as well as plant equipment and building services equipment
22. Independent organization of various repair, refurbishment and/or build out requests and projects
23. Experience in coordinating various parties remotely, such as suppliers or internal staff
24. Solution-oriented thinking when dealing with operational and technical problems
