Job Description
As a Business Consultant & Application Manager* Sales, you support the global Sales organization through solid application management and targeted process and system consulting. You understand the essential Sales processes, master the relevant tools (ERP, CRM), and combine operational tasks with the strategic development of our digital Sales landscape.
Roles and Responsibilities
Consulting & Process Development
1. Analyze and optimize Sales processes in close cooperation with the business department.
2. Derive and describe change requests and support implementation with internal and external partners.
3. Identify upcoming business needs and contribute to future‑oriented solution design.
4. Preparation of workshops, decision papers, and cross‑functional alignments.
Application Management
5. Analyze and resolve incidents, including root‑cause assessment and validation testing.
6. Manage and support Sales applications (ERP/CRM), including basic configuration and system stability.
7. Coordinate interfaces and external service providers.
8. Support release activities, testing cycles, and quality assurance.
Collaboration, Communication & Enablement
9. Ensure active, transparent communication with the business, ISM team, and external stakeholders.
10. Facilitate meetings, moderate discussions, and manage escalations when required.
11. Onboard new employees and conduct user trainings for Sales applications and processes.
12. Prepare concise documentation for processes, systems, and changes.
Qualifications
Profile
13. Degree in (Business) Informatics, Business Administration/Economics, or a comparable qualification
14. Experience in IT project management and Sales‑related ERP/CRM modules (ideally IFS & Dynamics 365)
15. Alternatively: experience in a Sales function within an industrial or machinery environment
16. Understanding of core Sales processes (Lead‑to‑Order, quotations, pricing, installed base)
17. Ability to understand incidents, drive changes, and work analytically
18. Strong communication and facilitation skills paired with a structured, independent working style
19. Good English skills are a prerequisite
20. Confident use of modern collaboration and documentation tools
