To meet increasing demands from our existing and new large global customers,
you will join the Global Customs team to develop our commercial functions. Handling customs processes for our customers has long been part of our business, but to support our growth strategy, we aim to better meet our large customers’ needs in Customs brokerage.
Your team will work closely with IT product development, customs operations, and business stakeholders to adapt solutions to business needs and requirements.
Customer focus and delivering value require teamwork and collaboration across all DSV countries. It involves engaging with customers to enhance their supply chains.
You will communicate with large customers and colleagues worldwide, ensuring they receive the contracted services. Working alongside senior staff in our global commercial organization, you will drive continuous improvement and innovation in our Customs marketing functions, supporting operational excellence and adding value to our customers’ supply chains.
This role is customer-facing and involves high interaction with internal stakeholders, including:
* Advising on the commercial strategy for Customs services for large clients
* Designing the global commercial product and service catalog for Customs
* Participating in RFI and RFQ processes related to Customs capabilities
* Conducting review meetings with customers to follow up on KPIs, performance, and improvement points
* Collaborating with global Customs operations to ensure operational excellence worldwide
* Driving continuous improvement and performance management, involving relevant Group functions and country stakeholders, sometimes leading or participating in improvement projects
Profile Required:
A logistics background with a flair for customer interaction, ideally with experience in customs operations, sales, or consultancy in a customer-facing role. You should have a degree in logistics, business, transport, or shipping, and familiarity with operational customs logistics.
Additionally, you:
* Are comfortable participating in customer meetings, virtual calls, and presentations
* Thrive working on multiple tasks without losing customer focus
* Have experience with TMS, customs declaration platforms, and proficiency in Excel and MS Office
* Understand the commercial relevance of global and regional trade lanes
* Are familiar with worldwide customs processes and global trade
* Are comfortable working directly with customs authorities and trade associations
You will work at our local DSV location in your country, with opportunities for international travel.
