Join us in our Vendor Data team, where you will design, build, and implement advanced monetization and pricing models that shape the economic success of hundreds of thousands of restaurants and local businesses globally.
Your contributions will unlock new revenue streams, optimise vendor monetisation, and guide data-driven decision-making – having a decisive impact on our global bottom-line. Furthermore, you will support our restaurant partners to provide affordable meals to more than 10 million people every day across 60+ countries.
We’re looking for a scientifically rigorous, yet strongly pragmatic and commercially-minded data scientist who thrives on complexity, impact, and autonomy. Lead the development of econometric and machine learning models to optimise take rate, pricing strategies, and vendor monetisation, working alongside top commercial leaders and technical experts.
Partner closely with the Commercial, Product, and Data Engineering teams to embed advanced modelling and experimental insights into pricing, incentive, and vendor engagement decisions, while regularly delivering recommendations and insights to senior business leaders.
D. in Economics or a similar field with an emphasis on quantitative research methods including forecasting, causal inference, machine learning and experiment design.
~5+ years of experience in data science roles, ideally in Revenue Management, Pricing, or Monetization Analytics in e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech, or AdTech
~ Experience with marketplace pricing dynamics, multi-modal optimisation, and revenue forecasting models, plus deep understanding of economic concepts such as price elasticity, contribution margins, ROI metrics, rebate mechanics, and segmentation analyses
~ Willingness to take responsibility on high-stakes, company-defining projects with substantial financial impact and eagerness to deliver clear recommendations to top management
~ Passion for data, with creative problem-solving abilities and an eye for detail
~ Proficiency in Python and/or R, and SQL (preferably with BigQuery), with experience in statistical modelling and data visualisation (Tableau or similar) with continuous iteration
~ Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral, and able to explain complex modelling outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences in a concise way
