What you will do
* Investigating the corrosion of metals (Fe, Al, Ni, Sn, and other metals) caused by environmental influences as well as chemicals
* Development and conduction of experiments to analyze corrosion mechanisms
* Continuous analysis and improvement of existing products and processes to increase quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
* Documentation and evaluation of results
* Identification of protective measures and solutions to reduce corrosion
* Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to advance research projects
What you will need
* Completed university degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or a related discipline
* Ideally first experience and knowledge in corrosion research and metallurgy
* Expertise in handling ionic liquids
* Basic knowledge of electricity and electrochemical processes
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
* High level of communication skills and enjoy working in an international and interdisciplinary team
* Fluent English skills, German is a plus
