The MFC Europe Regional Senior Manager for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH) is a newly created position, reflecting the strategic importance, interconnectedness, and value of the region to Lockheed Martin (LM) and Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). The DACH region plays a pivotal role in LM’s industrial partnerships, particularly with German companies.
This position is responsible for leading business development and customer engagement across the region. The primary objective is to support and execute MFC’s strategy in the DACH region, driving success in key national programs.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A proactive, customer-focused mindset and a proven track record in the aerospace and defence sector/military background are essential. Experience working in or with government bodies is highly desirable, as is a thorough understanding of regional procurement processes.
The role demands flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to engage confidently with senior government and industry stakeholders. Exceptional communication skills are critical—both for internal reporting and for clearly articulating MFC’s strategy in the DACH region to external audiences in a compelling and professional manner.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
* Business Development within German/DACH defence industry or ex German military with some business development experience,
* Fluent in German and English ; proficiency in French would be highly desirable.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated leadership, with the ability to foster team culture and promote diversity.
* Extensive experience in international business and customer relations within the DACH region.
* Solid understanding of the DACH defence market and customer requirements.
* Proven ability to represent a global brand and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong business development acumen, with the capability to identify and cultivate new opportunities.
* Skilled in building and maintaining networks of government and commercial contacts.
* Experience influencing cross-functional international customer teams in line with regional strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Working closely with MFC Lines of Business (LOBs), Global Business Development & International (GBDI), LM Government Affairs – International (LMGA-I), corporate functions, and other LM Business Areas, the Senior Manager will:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders across the DACH region to develop a deep understanding of customer priorities and inform strategic business decisions.
* Monitor the evolving business environment, identifying trends and providing strategic insight and recommendations to MFC leadership and LOBs.
* Shape and support strategies for growth, customer engagement, and program success in alignment with LM/MFC regional and corporate goals.
