 
        
        At the earliest possible date. We are offering a fixed-term part-time position (65%) for 3 years.
Your tasks:
 * This position is tied to working towards a doctorate
 * collaboration in research and teaching
 * participation in maintenance of laboratory equipment
 * Chemical Biology and biochemical research focusing on the interaction between proteins and RNA in the context of mRNA degradation
Our expectations:
 * A graduate degree in chemical biology, biochemistry, chemistry or closely related disciplines with a molecular focus is required (i.e. German Diplom and / or master’s degree) is required.
 * A good understanding of molecular biology and biophysics (especially molecular cloning, protein expression and purification) is required.
 * A good understanding of peptide synthesis is required.
 * Basic knowledge of RNA-binding proteins is desirable
 * Basic knowledge of Linux is desirable.
 * Good command of written and spoken English is required.
 * German language skills would be advantageous but are not a requirement.
 * Teamwork, communication skills, organisational skills and the ability to work independently are
