Position Summary: Reporting to the VP, Strategic HRBP International, the Senior Director, Strategic HRBP (m/f/d) for Germany will provide strategic partnership to local senior leaders and orchestrate the delivery of people programs and solutions. This role will act as a business partner to the GM of Germany, located in Munich, and be part of the local leadership team with the goal of building teams that drive BMS’s business priorities, maximize performance and effectiveness, support business continuity, and deliver against our people strategy. Key Responsibilities: Provides strategic HR Business Partner expertise to the Germany GM and leadership team to maximize organizational performance Provides direct support or assign resources to the most critical local business or functional initiatives through ongoing prioritization Supports the translation of business strategy and organizational needs into organizational performance solutions including organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and culture change. Collaborates with Centers of Excellence (COE’s) to monitor external environment (e.g., job market, technology, demographic development) and define future workforce requirements (quantitative and qualitative) as well as identifying and articulating the People needs of the business to the COE’s and deploys their programs and processes in ways that bring value to the business. Drives the local People strategy and provides guidance and collaborates COEs and People Services leaders for effective global deployment of People activities. Analyzes key data and trends to drive organizational effectiveness and the development of a workforce plan aligned with business strategy and objectives. Supports succession planning, talent retention efforts and pipelining, as necessary, for external talent. Collaborates with the International HRBP team and leads or participates to regional/global initiatives Implement all global initiatives locally through innovative labor relations strategies Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable BMS policies and local laws and regulations Qualifications & Experience: Significant (10 years) leadership experience in HR business partner roles. Strong leadership skills and experience in navigating HR operating models (COEs, operational teams, etc.). Proven track record working in a global multinational corporation; experience in the pharma industry preferred. University degree (advanced degree preferred). Demonstrated success in working effectively at executive management levels with a high degree of impact and influence. Experience in driving labor relations. Ability to adapt across different types of cultures, work, complexities, business situations, and matrix partners. Proven track record in developing people and leaders. Experience in performing effectively in a complex matrix, cross-functional, and team environment. Ability to provide a strong voice to the markets through the International HRBP team Demonstrated use of communication and change management strategies/tactics to influence new ways of thinking and working. Broad experience in using external and internal professional networks in strategic activities to achieve better talent outcomes. Demonstrated ability to proactively anticipate and prevent business problems and taking initiative to drive necessary change. Demonstrated experience utilizing data and analytics to drive business and talent decisions. Project management skills. Fluent in English.
