Job Summary
In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for the continuous optimization and improvement of existing and future processes. The primary focus will be on process automation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Development of automated production processes through to error-free handover to manufacturing
2. Optimization of existing production processes, including root cause analysis, statistical product tracking and evaluation, and ad hoc troubleshooting
3. Implementation of new manufacturing technologies
4. Implementation of the Quality by Design (QbD) concept prior to the introduction of new products
5. Execution of optimization projects and continuous process improvements driven by customer requirements and requests
6. Execution and coordination of validation projects
7. Implementation and coordination of customer and development projects
Education
8. Completed technical engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Chemistry, or a comparable field with a focus on Production Engineering
Work Experience
9. At least 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing companies, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment, including knowledge of cGMP
10. Relevant experience in automation is highly desirable
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
11. Experience in validation or qualification, capability analysis, and analysis of production processes from technical, quality-related, and economic perspectives
12. Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
13. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and project management methodologies is desirable
14. Strong cost and quality awareness with a strong internal and external customer focus
15. Analytical thinking and a structured working style
License and Certifications
16. Six Sigma Green Belt certification within the first year
Physical Requirements
Light-Exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects. #LI-KS1
