As a key member of moovel’s sales leadership team, you will be responsible for sales efforts in a competitive market, executing business development and sales initiatives to achieve company growth goals, and leading account management engagement with our clients. A key responsibility is managing the proposal process, including writing responses to convey our message effectively to produce winning bid submissions. Successful candidates will demonstrate a deep understanding of the transportation sector and have a proven ability to execute measurable sales plans and go-to-market strategies to drive revenue.

We offer best-in-breed solutions, and with our open architecture and third-party partnerships, we are expanding our team as we grow our business.
We are hiring for roles with territory management in the Western, Central, and Eastern North American regions. These are individual contributor roles with potential to grow into team management positions. These key roles report to the Vice President of Global Sales.
What You’ll Be Doing :
1. Drive day-to-day operations related to business development activities.
2. Foster relationships with key stakeholders at transit agencies, moovel business partners, and advertisers.
3. Support the procurement process end-to-end, including RFP proposal preparation, statements of work and specifications, estimation of product/service costs, developing a win strategy, conveying our capabilities, and negotiating contracts.
4. Lead channel sales programs to convert prospects into customers and sell new and existing products.
5. Maintain relationships with existing customers and secure follow-on business.
6. Lead reporting processes and present to leadership.
7. Supervise maintenance of the Customer Relationship Management tool (Salesforce).
8. Manage and advocate for critical roadmap requirements with internal teams including product management and engineering.
9. Employ exceptional relationship management skills at senior levels; be diplomatic, consultative, and persuasive.
10. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the transportation and political environment in client service areas; identify decision drivers and act as an advisor.
11. Attend and/or present moovel platform solutions at industry conferences.
Required Qualifications and Skills :
1. 5-7 years of experience with state and local government in sales, business development, proposal management, or solution architecture.
2. Understanding of governmental proposal processes and ability to manage positioning from pre-award to contract award.
3. Successful experience as an individual contributor, capable of working independently and in teams.
4. Knowledge of the transportation sector, especially fare collection, mobile ticketing, real-time passenger info, and CAD/AVL markets.
5. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
6. Excellent client management and diplomacy skills for managing public and private environments.
7. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management and engineering) to meet agency needs.
8. Proven ability to influence decision makers.
9. Track record of success.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Desire to learn new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills :
1. Understanding of the Shipley proposal process.
2. Experience using and managing Salesforce CRM.
3. Knowledge of the Evolve Way of Working (WoW) process.
