Credit Consultant Role
We are seeking a skilled Credit Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting front office staff with credit matters and providing guidance on product and policy considerations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, credit expertise, and excellent communication abilities. They will be responsible for conducting written analysis of credit applications, making recommendations to the approval authority, and managing approved credit facilities.
In addition, the successful candidate will perform credit monitoring and control activities, including daily monitoring and follow-up of credit violations, and collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance departments on credit-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support front office staff with credit matters, providing guidance on product and policy considerations, as well as credit structuring advice.
* Conduct written analysis of credit applications and make recommendations to the approval authority, adhering to the credit governance framework.
* Manage approved credit facilities, prepare loan documentation, and ensure proper implementation of credit-related decisions and conditions.
* Perform credit monitoring and control activities, including daily monitoring and follow-up of credit violations, and report to local management and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance departments on credit-related issues and contribute to projects, process improvement, system testing, and product development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in credit risk analysis, with strong organisational and analytical skills.
• Confirmed knowledge of credit products, particularly mortgage financing, and Spanish mortgage lending expertise.
• Fluent English language skills; German and other languages considered an advantage.
• Client-oriented mindset, delivering excellent client service, and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS-Office and experience with Avaloq banking software is advantageous.
