To further strengthen our financial steering and support data-driven decision-making across the business, we are expanding our Finance & Data capabilities. We are therefore looking for a Senior Data Analyst (Finance) (m/f/d) to join us full-time.
This is a hybrid role with a primary location at our Berlin office on Chausseestraße.
Your role in a team
As a Senior Data Analyst (Finance) (f/m/d), you will take ownership of our financial data, reporting, and performance measures. Working closely with the Head of Finance, as well as our Data Platform and Analytics teams, you will ensure that high-quality financial insights are available to support planning, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
Your responsibilities include:
* Own financial data, reporting, and performance metrics, working closely with the Head of Finance to identify requirements and priorities
* Specify, develop, and continuously improve financial data warehouse models with support from the Data Platform and Analytics teams
* Support the Finance team with ad-hoc and recurring analyses, reports, and data extracts
* Actively support the Finance team in the Planning & Budgeting process
* Monitor, analyse, and communicate key financial and operational KPIs to the management team, highlighting trends, risks, and potential outliers
* Continuously improve financial reports, processes, and data structures to ensure scalability, accuracy, and reliability as we grow
Requirements
What you need to be successful
Must-have
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
* At least 3 years of experience analysing financial data, ideally in a B2C environment
* Strong skills in SQL and BI tools (e.g. Metabase, Looker, Tableau)
* Strong experience working with financial data in spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets)
* Solid understanding of finance and growth company metrics
* Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
* Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
* Strong communication skills in English and German
Nice-to-have
* Experience using dbt for reporting and data models
* Formal qualifications in finance or accounting
* Experience with data modelling or automation using Python
