Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced freelance Payroll & HR Consultant to support an international company in managing and optimizing payroll operations in Luxembourg. This role is part of a broader initiative to stabilize internal processes and improve the efficiency of payroll systems, with occasional coverage for Belgium.
Working remotely, the consultant will take ownership of the full payroll cycle for Luxembourg-based employees, ensuring compliance with local regulations and providing operational support to both internal teams and external clients. The position requires a hands-on approach, adaptability to new systems, and a strong understanding of Luxembourg payroll legislation.
Key Responsibilities :
* Manage end-to-end payroll for Luxembourg-based employees (Employer of Record model)
* Ensure compliance with Luxembourg tax, social security, and employment regulations (CSSF regulations)
* Prepare and reconcile internal payroll reports and expense collections
* Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including mandatory deductions
* Collaborate with product and operations teams to improve payroll tools and workflows
* Respond to complex payroll and HR-related queries from clients and employees
* Provide occasional weekend support when needed
Profile Requirements :
* Proven experience in Luxembourg payroll and HR operations
* Strong knowledge of local legislation and compliance standards
* Fluent in French and English
* Comfortable with digital tools and able to quickly adapt to new systems (Apsal is a plus)
* Autonomous, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset
