Tasks
* Preparation of histological sections using rotary and sliding microtomes
* Processing of fresh biopsies and embedding of tissue
* Sample processing: H&E staining, macrodissections, and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)
* Sample management: archiving and de-archiving of samples, as well as preparation for sample shipment
* Preparation and execution of orders
* Maintenance and regular servicing of laboratory equipment
* Working in a regulated environment (GCP)
* Creation and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Documentation and analysis of results
* Database entry and maintenance (electronic recording and documentation of all processes using LIMS)
* Preparation and follow-up of internal and external audits
* Support in the establishment and validation of new analyses
Requirements
* Successfully completed training as a BTA, MTLA, CTA, or biological laboratory technician
* Initial work experience in the aforementioned tasks is desirable
* Good command of both English and German
* Proficient in using the MS Office package
* Structured, responsible, and independent working style
* Strong communication skills and team spirit
* Additional CT-Gyn qualification (DGZ) or other cytology skills are beneficial
