Your tasks
5. Analysis of proposed designs for robustness and fulfillment of requirements.
6. Recommendations for design optimization using robust engineering.
7. Carrying out structural-mechanical design and analyses, including model development and calculation.
8. Plausibility check and derivation of suggestions for improvement from calculations.
9. Conducting and monitoring structural mechanics experiments, including analysis and interpretation of test results.
10. Problem solving through evaluative judgments using technical knowledge and judgment.
11. Responsibility for technical packages/investigations and delivering them on time.
12. Liaison within the engineering discipline and knowledge sharing.
Your profile
13. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a regionally equivalent qualification or equivalent experience.
14. Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design methods.
15. Understanding of engineering concepts across disciplines, including but not limited to: Manufacturing Engineering aerodynamics Thermodynamics Thermal and mechanical analysis Cost analysis Product definition (Nuclear specific:) Hydrodynamics, static and dynamic stress analysis, fracture and fatigue assessment, installation & commissioning.
16. Ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters.
17. Knowledge and experience of product integrity/liability and certification frameworks.
18. Membership of a relevant professional body (in the UK: Chartered Engineer status sought/achieved preferred).
19. Good communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization.
