To strengthen our team, we are seeking a candidate for the Application Development division, specifically for the Competence Center for Cross-Sectional Systems Development 2, to start as soon as possible in pay grade 11 (EntgO-DRV): UI/UX Designer and Accessibility Expert (f/m/d) As a UI/UX Designer and Accessibility Expert (f/m/d), you will support us in the following areas, among others: Analyzing customer orders and requirements with a particular focus on usability and accessibility Assisting clients in formulating their requirements regarding the design of workflows and processes Creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes Providing consultation on the development of application-appropriate and ergonomic user interfaces in accordance with architectural specifications, the UX design/UI concept, and legal accessibility requirements designing and testing a concept regarding the internal structure of the front end of an IT product (IT application) in accordance with architectural specifications Conducting software testing for compliance with the currently applicable legal accessibility regulations Preparing test reports for software products Developing recommendations for corrections to ensure compliance. Your Qualifications: You hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a comparable relevant degree at Level 6 of the German Qualifications Framework. You also have several years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years of practical experience in software development and at least 2 years of practical experience in UI/UX design. In addition, we would like you to have: CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) certification from the IAAP or equivalent credentials Excellent knowledge of communication design, interaction design, information design, and media informatics In-depth knowledge in the areas of usability and user experience Experience in prototyping, visualizing ideas and concepts, and designing digital products Your personality profile: A high degree of customer and service orientation Ability to work independently as well as in a team Analytical skills and a willingness to learn Ability to work independently and commitment to continuous professional development Willingness to travel occasionally Strong verbal and written communication skills in German, as well as IT-specific English proficiency.
