Job description

To strengthen our global management team, we are searching for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this position, you will play a key role in the strategic and operational management of our development departments. Under your leadership, we will shape and develop ERICH JAEGER's technology strategy in an innovative and globally consistent manner.
Tasks
* Our business area is a niche in the automotive and non-automotive market. Together with your team and your colleagues from production and industrialization, you will develop innovative products that successfully meet the new and demanding challenges of vehicle manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers in the medium and long term and inspire new opportunities.
* You have internalized modern methods of the product development process from the international automotive world. You actively shape our end-to-end processes for product and process development, maturity management, and the associated economic, legal, and risk-based processes, integrating the requirements of all internal stakeholders as well as interaction with customers, suppliers, and affiliated companies.
* With your global team, you will create a technological network that our "local for local" production and sales strategy can successfully follow.
Requirements
* You have a degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field.
* You have at least 10 years of professional experience in the development of complex technical products and several years of experience in managing interdisciplinary teams.
* You are very experienced in managing a development department with several teams for E/E components and/or classic mechanical components, ideally at an automotive Tier 1 company, and are familiar with the challenges of a global matrix organization.
* As an experienced developer, you are also familiar with the specifications of connectors under high mechanical and electrical requirements as well as the conditions of challenging environmental influences in the automotive industry.
* You are familiar with the requirements for modern software and hardware development in the field of driver assistance systems and high-voltage applications. You approach topics in the field of cyber security, functional safety, FMEDA, etc., and their application with experience and the necessary methodological approaches.
* You have a confident manner, strong social skills, and enjoy developing people and teams. Experience in change management is an advantage.
* You are fluent in spoken and written German and English.
