About us:
Berlin International College is a private Studienkolleg. We prepare international students without direct university entrance qualification (HZB) in language and subject-specific courses and thereby enable them to study at German universities. For our upcoming Bachelor Prep Program Business English in English language, we are looking for teachers in Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics and Computer Science.
Tasks
You will be preparing the students in your respective subject including exercises and tests for the final examination at BIC, which you will be conducting as well - together with other teachers.
Subjects:
* Economics (introduction to economics, supply & demand, market forms, money & money creation, inflation & deflation, foreign trade & globalisation, European Union, Business ethics, Revision)
* Business Administration (fundamentals, types of companies, human resourcen, marketing fundamentals, accounting introduction, digitalization in the company, revision)
* Mathematics (elementary mathematics, curve sketching, integration, derivatives incl. economic applications, extreme value problems, calculating with matrices incl. economic applications
* Computer Science incl. introduction to basic Python programming, number systems, logic and economic applications
Timeframe: 01. Dez 2025 - 26. Jun 2026 + 5 weeks exam period (06.07. – 07.08.2026)
Hours: 6 - 30 teaching units (á 45 mins.) per week
Class times: 09:00 - 14:30 / 16:15
Mode of classes: On-site
Language of instruction: English
Type of employment: Freelance (for non EU citizens a freelance visa is requiremet)
Requirements
You are a good fit if you ...
* would like to work as a freelance teacher
* can teach more then one subject (e.g. Economics and Business Administration)
* have good knowledge of the respective subject
* got at least one year experience in teaching groups of at least 5 students.
* communicate fluently in English (speaking and writing) incl. relevant subject specific terms
* have intercultural experience (advantage)
* have a work permit for Germany
* located in Berlin
