The Company:
Based in Cologne, Germany, Protarget is an engineering company that is specialised in the development, production and installation of solar thermal power plants worldwide.
Following the acquisition of a number of international solar projects, we are looking for a motivated and ambitious person to support our engineering team in Cologne.
Your Tasks:
· Responsible for the design of Protarget's solar thermal plants and associated equipment
· Design activities including 2D and 3D CAD drawing and design of components, subassemblies and
plants
· Creation of parts lists and assembly instructions
· Verify that the mechanical design of the plant is compliant with the relevant design codes (DIN, EN,
ASME etc.), and that the plant can be operated safely throughout its 20-year life
· Work with the relevant authorities, such as TÜV and Bureaux Veritas when independent verification of
the designs is required
· Creation of technical documents such as specifications and manufacturing drawings for components
and systems
· Update and maintenance of the internal drawing and quality systems

Your profile:
· Minimum of five years' experience in the area of engineering, design and construction
· Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
· Background in process or plant engineering sector (Oil&Gas, Chemical, Power, Renewable Energy)
· Fluent in spoken and written technical English. German language knowledge a benefit
· Experience of using 2D/3D CAD software
