Digital sales is a rapidly growing business model for PAYBACK. At the Berlin site, there is a cross-functional team of Business, Product & Tech (also called Crew), which has holistic responsibility (you build it, you run it) for its products.
As the Senior Technical Architect for the eCommerce / Digital Sales domain, you will have professional responsibility for the technical part of the domain and the Crew TOs in the leadership role.
YOUR TASKS
1. Take full responsibility for the domain e-commerce, crews and products including decision-making and managing costs and value effectively
2. Align Domain Vision and Goals with Company Vision and Goals and maintain visibility, measurability, and regular communication
3. Be a visionary and driver for the future path of your domain
4. Be Responsible for the Technical Strategy of the Domain: Develop and maintain the technical product application landscape across platforms, ensuring alignment with connected systems
5. Establish an environment where people can take over ownership
6. Report, keep track and act on technical performance KPIs
7. Participate in Architectural and Design Discussions
8. Supervise Application Performance and Stability
9. Ensure Compliance with Regulations including legal, GDPR, auditing, accounting, and cloud improvement processes
YOUR PROFILE
10. 7+ Years in a Lead Tech Position
11. High willingness to travel (Munich-Berlin)
12. Proven working experience in Java development, including designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
13. Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), SQL, and ORM technologies (e.g., JPA2, Hibernate)
14. Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g. GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform)
15. Strong problem analysis and solving capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to take ownership and lead effectively
16. Customer-Oriented and Strategic Thinking: Ability to define and push a vision, drive transformation, and carry the team along
17. Ability to understand the technical impacts of requirements, including architectural, security, and performance considerations
18. Ability to make decisions based on customer value and ROI
19. Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Fluent in English, with a high sense of responsibility, self-initiative, and a passion for learning and contributing to a growing team
