I'm looking for an Extreme Network Engineer in Stuttgart, with Extreme Switches, Extreme Fabrics, CISCO, CATO and AWS infrastructure experiences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Minimum Experience of 8 years
2. Manage Cato network devices and Extreme switches APs
3. Design configure and deploy Extreme Networks solutions across enterprise environments
4. Provide expert level troubleshooting and support for Extreme Networks switches routers wireless access points and management platforms
5. Collaborate with cross functional teams to assess network requirements and deliver scalable solutions
6. Lead network upgrades migrations and integration projects
7. Develop and maintain documentation including network diagrams configuration standards and operational procedures
8. Conduct performance tuning capacity planning and proactive monitoring
9. Stay updated with the latest Extreme Networks technologies firmware updates and best practices
10. Train and mentor junior network engineers and support staff
11. Interface with Extreme Networks support and account teams for escalations and strategic planning
Required Skills Qualifications
12. Strong knowledge and hands on experience in configuring Cato network devices and Extreme switches APs
13. Strong understanding of Layer 2Layer 3 networking VLANs STP OSPF BGP QoS and multicast
14. Experience with Extreme Management Center XMC Fabric Connect and Extreme Cloud IQ
15. Certifications such as Extreme Certified Specialist ECS or Extreme Certified Expert ECE are highly desirable
16. Excellent problem solving communication and documentation skills
17. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
18. Experience in largescale enterprise or service provider environments
19. Familiarity with network automation and scripting Python Ansible
20. Knowledge of network security principles and integration with firewalls and NAC solutions
