Our Excelitas location in Wiesbaden is primarily responsible for our Advanced Industrial Sensors and Life Sciences & Medical business units and holds key positions in sales, administration, research and development, application development, and product management. The location specializes in technical solutions for IR sensor technology. These include thermopiles and pyroelectric sensors for non-contact temperature measurement and motion and presence detection, high-performance sensors and pulsed lasers for LiDAR and 3D sensing, photodiodes for smoke detection, photon counting modules (SPCM) for detecting the lowest light intensities, and flash lamps for a wide range of applications and devices.
Responsibilities:
* Hunter mentality focused on converting prospects to the Excelitas range of Curing & Drying solutions.
* Support and maintain a close working relationship with ink, coating and adhesive manufacturers and continuously update them on the latest Curing & Drying solutions and working together to identify interested companies.
* Manage relationships with existing customers and defend business from competitive threats through consistent contact with decision makers.
* Submit monthly/annual forecasts, distributing brief call reports for all visits, and continuously maintain CRM with the latest customer opportunities.
* Seek out new machine manufacturers and end users by attending in-person and virtual seminars as well as relevant trade shows.
* Willingness to present the latest offerings to groups in boardrooms and at trade conferences.
* Meet and exceed annual sales objectives defined by Excelitas Director Sales Printing & Wood Solutions EMEA.
Education and experience required:
* 5+ years of experience in a customer facing field sales role.
* 5+ years of experience in the UV curing market preferred.
* Home office based with ability to travel ~50% of the time.
* Knowledge of flexographic, digital, or adhesive/coating equipment preferred.
* Exceptional organization, presentation and communication skills, verbal and written.
* Capability to work independently from a home office while building relationships with product management, field sales, engineering, and marketing teams.
* BS or BA degree required or an equivalent level of experience and Industrial training.
* Confident communication skills in German and English are desired.
