The Systems Engineering team is responsible for the technical aspects of developing, planning, implementing, and monitoring systems in the areas of large-scale battery storage, hydrogen (P2G), and off-grid systems. Your work will focus on service and patch management for complex network architectures. Your mission – what you can expect from us:
1. Network operations: Responsibility for service, update and patch management of active network components as well as connected Windows and Linux server systems to ensure stable and secure operations.
2. Architecture & design: Planning, designing and documenting network architectures for existing and new infrastructures, including their continuous development and improvement.
3. Stability & security: Operating and securing networks and remote access solutions with a strong focus on availability, performance and protection against cyber threats.
4. Analysis & optimization: Systematic analysis, isolation and sustainable resolution of incidents, combined with continuous optimization of the network environment in day‑to‑day operations.
5. Change & migration: Professional support for changes, extensions and migrations of existing networks, working closely with internal stakeholders and interfaces.
Your profile – what you bring with you:
6. Completed degree in computer science, communications engineering or electrical engineering, completed vocational training as an IT specialist (e.g. system integration) or a comparable qualification.
7. Several years of professional experience in the design, operation and maintenance of networks in complex IT environments.
8. Solid knowledge of routing, switching and common network protocols such as TCP/IP, VLAN and VPN.
9. Experience with high‑availability and redundancy concepts (e.g. MRP/MRPP), industrial protocols such as IEC 60870‑5‑104, Modbus TCP or MQTT, as well as central monitoring and logging protocols like SNMP and Syslog.
10. Experience in lifecycle, patch and update management of network components and server operating systems in Windows and Linux environments.
11. Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
