Responsibilities
1. Design and implementation of BCU-based control systems for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems
2. Development and integration of control functions in DIGSI and verification of these functions in hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) test environments
3. Creation of design specifications, technical documentation, and effort estimates
4. Clarification of technical requirements within the project team as well as with customers and suppliers
5. Conducting training sessions and knowledge sharing with colleagues and customers
6. Remote support during commissioning and servicing of HVDC systemsDesign and Implementation of BCU-based Steering System for Hochspanungs-Gleichstrom-Übertragungssysteme (HVDC)
Profile
7. University degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power engineering and relevant, in-depth experience in application
8. Sound knowledge of the parameterization of Bay Control Units (BCUs), preferably SIPROTEC 5 devices with DIGSI and CFC (Continuous Flow Chart)
9. Experience in implementing the IEC 61850 standard for substation control and data exchange with higher-level automation and SCADA systems
10. Deep understanding of high-voltage technology, protection and control schemes, and automated control sequences
11. Good knowledge of the secondary interfaces of high-voltage components such as switchgear, transformers, and current and voltage transformers (CTs and VTs)
12. Native-level English skills; fluent German is an advantage
