Freelance Tender Planner – AC (Major EPC Project | HVDC Substation Focus)
Location: Germany (Hybrid Berlin 3 days per week, 2 days remote)
Start Date: Mid-October 2025
Contract Length: 12–15 months
Capacity: 50% for first 4 weeks, ramping up thereafter to 38 hours per week.
Language: German-speaking strongly preferred
Overview:
We are supporting a leading EPC contractor in their search for an experienced Freelance Tender Planner (AC) to join a major upcoming substation project in Germany. This role will be key to the tender planning phase of a long-term infrastructure project, requiring prior experience in similar large-scale EPC environments, if possible HVDC preferred.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned freelance planner looking to join a high-profile HVDC project with a clear roadmap and strong team already in place.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning and scheduling of the AC tender phase within the EPC project framework
* Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment on project timelines
* Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using industry-standard tools
* Identify risks and opportunities, providing input into mitigation strategies
* Provide accurate planning input for tender submissions and client presentations
* Support project controls and reporting requirements throughout the initial planning phase
Requirements:
* Proven experience working on major EPC projects, ideally within the HVDC substation or broader energy/infrastructure sectors
* Strong knowledge of tender planning processes, tools, and methodologies
* Fluent in German (strongly preferred due to client location and communications)
* Available to start mid-October at 50% capacity, ramping up thereafter
