<p><strong>Job Description: IT/Desktop Support Engineer</strong></p><p><strong>Work Timing:</strong> 9 AM to 6 PM LT (Mon to Friday)</p><p><strong>Languages Required:</strong> English & German (Mandatory)</p><p><strong>Nationality:</strong> German</p><p><strong>Duration:</strong> 6 Months</p><p>We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to assist with a tech refresh project focused on imaging, installing, and deploying new Windows 10 computers.</p><p><strong>Hardware Refresh Project:</strong></p><p>Supports the rollout of new technologies within the IT department through various projects, including managing and executing Service Desk-specific tasks.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Receive new computer shipments, enter them into asset manager, unbox, and configure (image) computers using SCCM. Deliver to inventory room and update asset manager.</li><li>Schedule intake with customers to inventory physical items (docks, monitors, printers) and back up software/data in preparation for deployment.</li><li>Configure new computers using tools like data backup software (Druva), OneDrive, and computer checklists.</li><li>Deploy computers to local customers or ship to remote customers via UPS.</li><li>Recover old devices from customers.</li><li>Perform clean-up/wiping of hard drives and handle surplus equipment.</li><li>Accurately document equipment/component failures, repairs, installations, and removals. Provide daily deployment updates (issues, feedback, etc.) to the project manager.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Utilize ServiceNow to track and resolve requests in accordance with Service Level Objectives. Identify, research, and resolve technical issues.</li><li><strong>Hardware:</strong> Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, repair, and replace computer systems, desk phones, mobile devices, audio/visual systems, and other peripherals.</li><li><strong>Software:</strong> Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and evaluate company-approved applications.</li><li><strong>Active Directory:</strong> Administer computer and user accounts.</li><li><strong>Network:</strong> Basic troubleshooting.</li><li><strong>Phone System:</strong> Provide support for corporate telephone systems, desk phone setup, deployment, and troubleshooting.</li><li><strong>Mobile Devices:</strong> Provide configuration, troubleshooting, and support for mobile devices, including tablets and smartphones.</li></ul><p><br></p>
