Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) (m/f/d)
Working in Munich, Germany
This is a major opportunity for ambitious QA or Test automation engineer looking to engage with our product team as part of a highly innovative and international QA team. As an ECT SDET, you define the technology approach and solution to thorough test application with the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of our telecoms low code.
Main Tasks:
* Create or update the test automation scripts using test automation tools and frameworks to automate repetitive testing tasks and Regression testing tasks to increase efficiency and complete test coverage.
* Take ownership for test automation which can be used extensively in the test cycle.
* Create and maintain test automation suite for API testing for faster verification.
* Collaborate with software architects and product owners to understand requirements and provide input for testability.
* Proactively engage in quality assurance activities during requirements and design reviews, offering insights into potential issues and recommending improvements to prevent defects.
* In a complex software architecture implement risk-based testing strategies to focus testing efforts on areas with the highest potential for defects.
* Develop test cases, test scripts, and test plans to validate that software functionality meets specified requirements.
* Conduct thorough testing to identify and report defects.
* Document, and prioritize defects, and work closely with the development team to facilitate their resolution.
* Perform regression testing to ensure that previously identified defects have been fixed and new changes do not introduce new issues.
* Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.
* Conduct root cause analysis on defects to identify patterns and trends, facilitating the implementation of preventive measures in future development cycles.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Telecommunications.
* 5+ years of experience as Test Automation Engineer / SDET
* 4+ years of experience in PlayWright (must)
* 6+ years of experience in designing and implementing Testcases, Test Plans & Test Executions on Test Management Tools (Jira with Xray is preferable)
* Very good knowledge in programming languages like Java / Java Script / Python
* Very good knowledge in API testing and tools like PostMan, Rest Assured
* Very good knowledge in Mobile testing
* Very good knowledge in creating query for Databases like Oracle, Mongo DB etc.
* Ability to work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German is not required)
