OverviewAmazon Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, GermanyWe are looking to hire an ICQA Area Manager to be part of our fulfillment center Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team. Our fulfillment centers (FC) manage fast-moving inventory through stow, pick, pack and ship processes. We seek a leader who ensures reliable delivery to customers while guiding teams to uphold customer obsession.A day in the life of this role includes leading a team of hourly Associates (including Team Leads and Data Analysts), coordinating inventory control and quality assurance, and driving process improvement in alignment with network strategies and SOX compliance.Key responsibilitiesLead and supervise a team of hourly Associates (including Team Leads and Data Analyst) assigned to inventory control, quality assurance and problem solve operations within the fulfillment centerSupport safety programs and ensure a safe work environment; collaborate with Operations and other Support teams to establish, influence and adhere to policies and proceduresCoordinate inventory control, quality assurance and problem solve operations in accordance with network strategies and SOX complianceConduct shift planning and forecasting; assign and direct work; oversee projects to streamline processes, increase quality and optimize productivityEnsure KPIs are reviewed regularly and perform quality analysis to identify behaviors or processes impacting inventory integrity and customer experienceDevelop expertise in FC process paths and exceptions to drive continuous improvement with the operations management teamAssist in interviewing and training FC managers and associates, developing talent and hiring future managersAdapt to a fast-paced environment and maintain focus on safety, accuracy, and customer satisfactionBasic qualificationsA degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in operations managementRelevant experience in performing data analysis and understanding data sets and toolsProficient in the local language and English, both spoken and writtenAdvanced MS Office suite user, especially ExcelPreferred qualificationsLean and Six Sigma knowledge and experienceResilient, focused problem solver with ability to multi-task in a complex environmentStrong commitment to employee development and team managementProven ability to influence peers or stakeholders within OpsDemonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a complex environmentAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
