Your tasks
9. Analysis of the aerodynamic properties of highly agile combat aircraft, as well as modeling and design of aerodynamic datasets for stability, control, performance and load assessments.
10. Ensuring the highest standards regarding the accuracy and reliability of all aerodynamic data and models
11. Support in the preparation and execution of wind tunnel tests and flight test programs.
12. Design and validation of aerodynamic data based on wind tunnel tests, flight tests and numerical flow simulations
13. Close collaboration within a specialized team of aerodynamicists, as well as coordination with internal and external interfaces.
Your profile
14. Successfully completed studies in the field of aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable subject (at least a Master's or Diploma degree)
15. Sound and in-depth expertise in the fields of aerodynamics and flight mechanics, ideally with a strong affinity for fighter aircraft.
16. Excellent programming skills in Fortran and experience with Linux and Unix operating systems are absolutely essential.
17. Solid IT user knowledge in Python (at least knowledge of detailed functions) and in the common MS Office applications (at least detailed specialist knowledge)
18. Fluent English skills and at least proficient German skills, both spoken and written.
19. Strong analytical skills, reliability, assertiveness, and stress resistance.
20. An independent, goal-oriented and flexible work style paired with a strong hands-on mentality.
21. Willingness to undertake occasional business trips at home and abroad (approx. 2-3 times per year for a duration of 1-4 weeks, especially to the USA and Amsterdam)
