In your internship at a globally leading medical technology company, you’ll be right in the middle of the action: The Stryker Sports Medicine team in Freiburg develops patient-specific solutions to support clinical decision-making for indications that can be treated with minimally invasive joint surgery.
As an intern in the team, you will contribute to the advancement of the Sports Medicine patient-specific solution offering. You will investigate and implement novel analysis methods, as well as evaluate the results.

1. As a valued member of our international Sports Medicine R&D team you support the advancement of image-based enabling technologies.
2. You perform independent research in which you work with three-dimensional models and image data and evaluate ideas that will assist in pre-operative planning.
3. You will gain insights into how research supports defining solutions for new product development in the medical device industry.
4. You will enhance your scripting skills by automating your developed approaches and evaluations and allow for efficient processing of data.

5. You are currently pursuing a biomedical engineering or a related engineering degree and are actively seeking an internship for a 6-month duration.
6. Your passion lies in expanding your technical expertise, particularly in areas such as 3D image analysis, segmentation, scripting/programming, and data/statistical analysis.
7. : Ideally, you are proficient in Python development and in software applications, including 3-Matic Medical, or similar tools.
8. : Ideally, you possess a solid grasp of clinical concepts and have prior research experience, enabling you to work independently.
9. : Your strong spoken and written English skills empower you to confidently engage in our international environment and successfully document your work in scientific English.
