Description As Lead Buyer (m/f/x), you will play a key role in international procurement with a focus on professional services. In a dynamic, cross-border environment, you will actively shape procurement strategies, drive cost efficiency and make a direct contribution to the company’s success. Reporting to the Global Category Manager Professional Services, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and international colleagues, and be responsible for strategic procurement matters across various European countriesand Latin America. In doing so, you will combine analytical strength with negotiation skills and apply your experience in a targeted manner to create sustainable value. Responsibilities Product group strategy: Development and implementation of sourcing and product group strategies for professional services (including consulting, HR topics, clinical and laboratory services, translation and travel) International procurement: Optimisation of procurement activities in an international environment (particularly Germany, the UK, France, Portugal, Belgium and Latin America) Tenders & Negotiations: Independently conducting international tenders, developing negotiation tactics and concluding contracts Cost optimisation: Identifying potential savings through in-depth spend analysis, and deriving and implementing appropriate levers Spend analysis: Structuring and analysing procurement volumes to increase transparency and reduce maverick buying Project management: Leading and implementing cross-functional and cross-border procurement projects Stakeholder management: Engaging and advising internal stakeholders, and working closely with specialist departments and international teams Supplier management: Establishing, developing and managing strategic supplier relationships at an international level Qualifications Education: Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a comparable subject Professional experience: Several years’ experience in strategic procurement, ideally with a background in management consultancy Analytical skills: Strong ability to analyse spend data and identify opportunities for optimisation Strategic competence: Experience in developing sourcing strategies and identifying sustainable procurement levers Negotiation skills: Demonstrable strength in developing and implementing negotiation tactics in an international environment Communication skills: Persuasiveness when dealing with internal stakeholders and a confident manner at various management levels International outlook: Experience in an international working environment and a willingness to collaborate with different countries and cultures (location: Munich) Language skills: Very good command of German and English; knowledge of a further foreign language (e.g. Spanish, French or Italian) would be an advantage
