Your new job includes
As Head of Customs (m/f/d), you are responsible for the customs compliance of the Heinemann Group – strategically, proactively and with direct influence on international business processes.
In particular, you will
* lead and develop your Customs team both professionally and disciplinarily
* develop the customs strategy for the Heinemann Group
* manage and enhance customs-related processes across the entire group
* ensure customs compliance for all group companies
* coordinate collaboration with other departments to optimize customs-relevant processes (e.g. master data, returns management, monitoring of blocked stock)
* integrate customs-related aspects into strategic projects (e.g. tenders, M&A, SAP rollouts, complex supplier and customer contracts) and actively contribute your expertise to business decisions
* act as the central point of contact for customs and financial authorities
Preferred Profile
* Completed university degree in economics or law (master's or equivalent, e.g. certified financial advisor)
* Many years of professional experience in the field of customs and in dealing with authorities
* In-depth knowledge of EU and German customs and excise law, as well as VAT regulations
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to proactively and independently develop solutions for complex issues
* Excellent communication skills, persuasiveness and decision-making ability
* Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken
