Proclinical is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) and laboratory equipment. This role focuses on ensuring high system uptime, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer satisfaction through professional on-site and remote technical support.
Responsibilities:
1. Install, configure, and validate diagnostic analyzers and automation systems according to guidelines.
2. Conduct site readiness checks, utility validations, and safety verifications.
3. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and diagnose mechanical, electronic, and software-related issues.
4. Provide prompt corrective repairs and ensure proper use of spare parts.
5. Deliver remote and on-site technical support, including basic user training for safe equipment operation.
6. Maintain proactive communication regarding service progress and follow-up actions.
7. Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and case records.
8. Manage personal inventory of spare parts, tools, and calibration equipment.
9. Participate in training programs to maintain certifications and update technical knowledge.
10. Adhere to all regulatory, quality, and safety standards, including ISO 13485.
11. Support audits, CAPA processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills and Requirements:
12. Background in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, or a related field.
13. Proficiency in servicing medical diagnostic or laboratory equipment.
14. Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, automation, sensors, and software interfaces.
15. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
16. Analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
17. Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
18. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
19. Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 15189, GMP, or LIS-software integration is a plus.
20. Specialized knowledge in chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, or urinalysis systems is advantageous.
