What it's about
In your role as Junior Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for supporting Partners Group's Country Head Compliance Germany, located in Munich. Focusing on German and European regulation, you will ensure that Partners Group's MiFID firm in Germany and its European Branches comply with applicable regulations. You will be part of a global and diverse Compliance team in a dynamic environment in a fast-growing company.
Responsibilities:
* Maintaining and improving Partners Group's compliance monitoring program in Germany;
* Maintenance of compliance-related systems and controls as well as conducting compliance checks and investigations;
* Drafting and reviewing periodic compliance reports, policies and directives;
* Contributing to regulatory projects (e.g. AIFMD and SFDR review, EU AML Directive review, etc.);
* Assisting with review of marketing materials (in German, English and potentially other language of the EU) and marketing activities;
* Liaising with external and internal auditors, prepare documentation for regulatory audits;
* Keeping abreast of regulatory developments in Germany and Europe;
* Conducting AML tasks with respect to Partners Group (EU) GmbH;
* End-to-end management of Compliance-related projects with the support of your manager;
* Assistance with tasks in areas such as risk management, service provider oversight, and Compliance training development as required.
What we expect
* We are looking for someone with a degree in legal, paralegal or compliance studies, business administration, finance, or similar. You should preferably have at least one year of work experience in the areas of compliance, audit or legal. A background in the financial services industry is a plus.
* You should be able to work independently and to implement processes and procedures successfully. You understand the benefit of new technologies for Compliance and are eager to work with IT and business applications specialists to automate compliance related processes and workflows.
* Critical thinking and excellent communication skills in German and English (both written and verbal) are essential for this role. Knowledge of French and/or Italian language is a strong plus.
* We seek a self-motivated person who is a fast learner with strong analytical, methodical and problem-solving skills.
* Good computer skills and proficiency in the MS Office suite.
