Your prospective job:
For our renowned client Airbus Defence and Space at the location Manching you act as a Aerodynamics Engineer Wind Tunnel & Data Specialist (m/f/d).
Your responsibilities:
6. Analyze and assess aerodynamic characteristics of high agility fighter aircrafts
7. Model and design aerodynamics datasets throughout the envelope for stability & control, performance and loads assessments
8. Coordinate and execute wind tunnel projects including test requirements specification and test program setup
9. Develop test and model concepts and specification and supervise external manufacturing of wind tunnel models
10. Support instrumentation, calibration and in-house 3d printing of wind tunnel models
11. Communicate and cooperate with all parties involved both internally and externally, coordinate suppliers
12. Continuously strive for improvement to make our processes more efficient and to remain state of the art
Your profile:
13. Completed studies in aerospace, mechanical engineering or comparable
14. Several years of work experience in aerospace
15. Proficient knowledge in aerodynamics and flight mechanics with an affinity to fighter aircraft
16. Thorough knowledge about and experience in the application of measurement technology typically applied in the wind tunnel test environment
17. Knowledge about typical wind tunnel topologies and their trade-offs
18. Hands-on attitude in the AeroLab and during wind tunnel tests as well as experience in model handling
19. Experience in CAD tools, preferably Catia V5 and good programming skills (Python, Matlab, Labview, mySQL) and familiarity with linux
20. Fluent English skills both spoken and written
21. German knowledge would be a plus
22. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
