Finance Operations Business Partner (m/f/d), FinOps BP
The Finance Operations Business Partnering (BP) team is seeking a Finance Manager (m/f/d) who will be a key member of the worldwide Retail BP team. This individual will be located in Munich and will primarily support finance operations focused on order-to-cash (O2C) and procure-to-pay (P2P) processes.
This position will partner closely with in-country business and finance leadership across Europe to support and optimize daily business, drive new business integration and expansion projects, and lead cost-out initiatives aimed at reducing defects and waste, thereby generating free cash flow opportunities for the company.
The successful candidate will be part of a high-caliber team of finance professionals in Munich and London, working closely with Operations teams primarily located in India and Slovakia.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee and manage a multi-billion Finance Operations portfolio.
2. Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Retail, Retail Finance), external partners (vendors, suppliers, customers), and other finance teams to drive improvements, efficiency, and decision support.
3. Ensure accountability for Finance Operations processes, especially those impacting business relationships.
4. Address vendor and customer issues requiring business decisions.
5. Lead business and operations reviews to identify expansion opportunities, changes in business trajectory, risks, and working capital management.
6. Develop project roadmaps and collaborate with multiple teams to implement long-term solutions that enhance productivity.
7. Design scalable processes and tools to accommodate business growth, including leveraging AI opportunities.
8. Work cross-organizationally to identify and develop plans for process, technical, and human interface improvements, and measure success.
9. Contribute to the annual Operating Plan, including global headcount forecasts and budget analyses.
Basic Qualifications
* Experience in various finance and accounting roles, including accounts receivable or payable.
* Ability to apply financial KPIs to analyses.
* Experience in creating financial and operational reports for decision-making.
* Experience in process automation and analysis.
* Participation in continuous improvement projects with measurable results.
Preferred Qualifications
* Solid experience in a finance business partnering environment, with team-building and customer-oriented mindset.
* Advanced analytical skills with the ability to see details and the big picture.
* Experience in commercial or retail finance, operations, logistics, or vendor finance is preferred.
* Proven ability to work through others in a diverse, complex, high-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing senior leadership.
* Ability to work independently in a changing environment and empower teams.
* Proven project management and transformation experience.
