Für unseren Kunden AIRBUS suchen wir Sie als Werkstoffingenieur Oberflächentechnologie (m/w/d).
In dieser Position arbeiten Sie in der Flugzeugmaterialentwicklung mit Schwerpunkt Metalloberflächenbehandlung und Korrosionsbewertung. Sie begleiten Forschungs- und Entwicklungsaufgaben von der Spezifikation bis zur Qualifikation und unterstützen Fertigung und Kunden bei korrosionsrelevanten Fragestellungen über den Produktlebenszyklus hinweg.
Ihre Aufgaben
* Durchführung und Betreuung von Forschungs- und Entwicklungsaufgaben sowie Qualifikationen für Metalloberflächenbehandlungen
* Spezifizierung und Verifizierung von Werkstoff- und Prozessspezifikationen
* Dokumentation theoretischer Grundlagen und Vorbereitung des Qualifikationsprozesses
* Bewertung technischer Eigenschaften neu entwickelter Oberflächenprozesse auf Basis standardisierter Korrosionstests, Haftungsprüfungen und Oberflächenanalytik
* Erstellung von Qualitätssicherungs- und Standardisierungskonzepten
* Definition von Testprogrammen und Anforderungen für die Produktentwicklung sowie Erstellung technischer Reports
* Erstellung und Definition technischer Spezifikationen zur Material- und Prozessentwicklung
* Unterstützung und Untersuchung korrosionsrelevanter Fragestellungen aus Fertigung und Kundensicht (nach Inbetriebnahme des Flugzeugs)
* Enge Zusammenarbeit in einem transnationalen Team sowie mit internen und externen Partnern
Ihr Profil
* Abgeschlossenes Bachelorstudium in Chemie, Ingenieurwesen oder Werkstoffwissenschaften
* Mindestens 2 Jahre Berufserfahrung im Engineering
* Erfahrung als Galvaniseur/Oberflächenbeschichter oder in der Werkstoffprüfung (jeweils mind. 2 Jahre), idealerweise im Bereich Oberflächentechnik
* Kenntnisse im Korrosionsschutz von Vorteil
* Sehr gute analytische Fähigkeiten und schnelle Auffassungsgabe
* Selbständige, strukturierte und ergebnisorientierte Arbeitsweise
* Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsfähigkeit über alle Ebenen hinweg
* Englisch verhandlungssicher; Deutsch von Vorteil
* Sicherer Umgang mit Google Workspace

Materials Engineer Surface Technology (m/f/d) - Materials Development & Corrosion - AIRBUS

For our customer AIRBUS, we are looking for a Materials Engineer Surface Technology (m/f/d).
In this role, you will work in aircraft materials development with a focus on metal surface treatments and corrosion assessment. You will support R&D activities from specification to qualification and assist manufacturing and customers with corrosion-related topics throughout the product life cycle.
Your tasks
* Perform and support research and development activities as well as qualifications for metal surface treatments
* Specify and verify material and process specifications
* Document theoretical foundations and prepare qualification processes
* Evaluate technical properties of newly developed surface processes based on standardized corrosion tests, adhesion tests and surface analytics
* Develop quality assurance and standardization concepts
* Define test programs and requirements for product development and prepare technical reports
* Create and define technical specifications for material and process development
* Support and investigate corrosion-related topics from manufacturing and customer perspectives (after aircraft entry into service)
* Work closely within a transnational team and with internal and external partners
Your profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Materials Science
* At least 2 years of professional experience in engineering
* Experience as electroplater/surface coater or in materials testing (min. 2 years), preferably in surface technology
* Knowledge of corrosion protection is a plus
* Strong analytical skills and quick comprehension
* Independent, structured and result-oriented working style
* Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
* Fluent business English; German is a plus
* Confident use of Google Workspace
